Strokes – The Slice Approach Is A Valuable Tool

If you’re a doubles player, net rusher or an all-court singles player you will definitely want to own a solid slice approach off both wings.  As a matter of fact, any player can benefit by owning this shot.  Doubles players, net rushers and all-courters know how important it is to get to the net, especially behind a nice low, skidding, slice approach.  You’re opponent is forced to ‘hit up’ giving you and your partner some easy volleys.  Also, many players today are using semi-western and full western grips which are not the best suited for low skidding balls.  Even players who rarely venture to the net can benefit by improving this shot and surprising their opponent.

Testimonials

  • "The Avery Control is the perfect racquet for me. This is the ultimate control racquet-when you strike a ball it goes where you want it to go! It is heavy enough to provide adequate power and being 11 points head-light, you can generate excellent racquet speed and it is easy to maneuver at the net. I'm getting great depth on my groundstrokes and good pop on my serves. This racquet will enhance all parts of your game- groundstrokes, serves, and volleys."

"The Avery M3 Control racquet provided me with the perfect balance and control that I had been looking for. The racket provides excellent control on my groundstrokes while still providing good pop on my serve. When I first picked up the racket, I was skeptical, but the racket turned out to be a much better performer than I had ever expected!"
