"Many Of The CTW Academy Tennis Specific Workouts Are Interval Training, I Highly Recommend Gymboss Timers"

Testimonials

  • "Tom, I am a 72 year old tennis enthusiast.  My home town is Lusby, Maryland.  I play "club" tennis in Naples in the winter and at The Island Country Club, Deer Isle, Maine in the summer.  I am currently men's member doubles and member mixed doubles club champion at each club.  In Maryland during the shoulder seasons, I play two or three Super Senior tournaments each year and am currently ranked #3 in the 70s singles bracket in Maryland.  Adam has rated me as a 3.5.  I had been playing with a very light Wilson 2.0 racket for some years thinking that because of age I needed a lighter racket.  Then I tried your Avery racket.  I found that I had as much  or more control with your racket, significantly more power in both ground strokes and serve.  I also have noticed a much different "ping" sound on making a good connection.  Finally, although I am not sure I can attribute a less painful shoulder solely to the Avery, I really believe that this heavier racket does somehow lessen a cronic issue with me and that is of severe right shoulder pain after a hard workout.  In fact after a Super Seniors tournament in early October 2010, using the old racket and which resulted in severe shoulder pain, I did not try another serve intil late December.  I am the proud owner of three Avery rackets."

"I feel like the Avery M5 racquet has opened a new door for me. I have searched for years for a racquet that would be "elbow-friendly", so to speak, and I am now sure that the M5 is the one!

After playing with an M5 demo for only a couple of weeks, I bought one, and I haven't been disappointed in its performance. I have found that the relatively heavy racquet head absorbs the shock and vibration that one normally experiences in the contact zone, and the weight of the racquet enhances its stability. The importance of following through completely and correctly on our strokes is something that many of us think about a lot, but the Avery M5 makes this occur almost automatically due to its inherent weight and stability. I realize that most players feel that achieving power and control simultaneously can be a challenge for a club player to achieve, but I feel that by using the M5 racquet you have one of the best chances to do this! With relatively little effort and good stroke mechanics, I am able to hit deep into the opposite court, and I am rewarded (most of the time!) with that sound of a well-hit ball that all of us tennis fans love to hear! What is wonderful is that my elbow doesn't hurt, even after many hours on the court!

    I highly recommend the M5!"
