Strokes – Learn to Throw Better to Improve Your Serve

The World Series are in full swing and it’s another exciting one.  Tennis players can learn a lot from baseball players and vice versa.  One commonality is the serve and the pitching motion.  I’ve always said I could teach a pitcher how to serve in about five minutes, once he understood the toss, the rest is a piece of cake, they already have a very good throwing motion.  So if you’re watching the games, check out those pitchers, improve your throwing motion and improve your serve.

Testimonials

  • "I've been plagued with wrist and elbow problems, but after talking with Tom, I became convinced a heavier frame would help alleviate these problems. I'm glad to say that since playing with the Avery M5 I've definitely seen improvement. So there is some method to Tom Avery's madness. I find it very easy to get depth and control. I can stroke the ball a lot easier because of the heft and can play a much more graceful and smoother game. The M5 has helped me enjoy my tennis even more. I feel as if my game has been reborn."

"I would describe myself as a dedicated USPTA trained instructor. I take a personal interest in each and every one of my students. I chose AVERY Racquets for the same reason. His dedicated service and personal touch is unmatched in this industry today. In addition, his racquets are a treat to hit with. You have to hit with one to truly understand. Easily the best balanced, best hitting stick I've ever used."
