Lay the wrist back… roll the wrist over the ball for topspin… there is a lot of confusion on the role of the wrist when hitting a forehand. Let me say that if you’re trying to roll your wrist over the ball you will lack consistency in the long run. You see when you’re trying to roll the racquet, it is usually a little laid back as you’re coming into the contact point, if you do not roll at precisely the right milli-second the racquet my be laid back a few degrees (1-5) which will send your shot long. If you roll too early you smother the ball and hit in the net… if you roll at the exact milli-second your racquet is vertical the ball stays in. THIS IS VERY RISKY BUSINESS.
