IT’S SIMPLE PHYSICS
A tennis ball weighs in at 57 grams and is coming at you from 50 mph to over 100 mph. When racquet and ball collide your racquet needs a certain amount of weight (or mass) to give you the best result (deep penetrating shots with pace and spin) and arm protection.

If your racquet does not have enough weight (mass) there are numerous problems that occur:
  1. The racquet does not absorb the shock of ball and racquet collision and the shock is transferred to your arm resulting in wrist, elbow and shoulder problems.
  2. The racquet slows down at contact because there is not enough weight to plow through the contact area and maintain its speed resulting in weaker shots with less pace, less depth, and less spin.
AVERY Racquets Proven Method of Racquet Design gives you the following benefits:
  1. At contact AVERY Racquets absorb the shock of racquet and ball collision (AVERY Racquets have outstanding weight, balance and flex) making it easier and more comfortable on the arm, which means less wrist, elbow and shoulder problems.
  2. AVERY Racquets maintain there speed through the contact area and provide solid plow through which means more pace, more depth, more spin and a heavier ball to your opponents side of the court.

"The M3 Power is a breath of fresh air. So many of today's modern rackets are becoming lighter and less powerful. The M3 Power has kept what has proven to work so well in the hands of the most critical customers, the playing pros. As advertising dollars are spent to attract more recreational players most of today's rackets miss the target of what's important, racket head speed and spin of the ball. With a 16x19 string pattern this optimizes spin compared to 18-20 designs, the balance and overall weight is recognized only by those who really know the game. I think Tom Avery hit this one out of the park!"
Peter Prinos, Foxboro, Massachusetts, NTRP Rating 6.0, M3 Power Player
In 2005 Peter ranked #1 in the Men's 45's USTA New England Section and is currently at #1 for 2006.

"I've tried many racquets including most of the major brands and a few of the others and I think the Avery is the best one all around. I've enjoyed it from the first time I hit with it, I'm very happy with it. Right now I'm between a 3.5-4.0, coming back from shoulder surgery. It's going very well and I think I'm finally getting back up there."
Nancy Garrigan, Jensen Beach, FL AVERY M3 Control Player
"It's heavier than the other ones I used to use but, I have more control over where the ball goes and I can get it in with less effort."
Nicole Martinez, AVERY M3 Control Player
Gulf Coast High School Team, Naples,FL

"Heavier racquets are more comfortable to use and easier on the body. I chose the M3 because it's greater weight acts as a shock absorber, lessening the stress on my wrist, arm and elbow. I also have found that the heavier racquets reduce torque. Both advantages improve ball control. The headlight balance made the M3 very maneuverable and I did not sustain any loss of racquet head speed. I fully endorse the M3 racquet, when playing I cannot tell where my hand ends and the racquet begins."
